Youth Ministries

United Methodist Youth Fellowship meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The Youth have supper and recreation and grow in the Spirit each week. UMYF members are encouraged to invite friends outside the church who may not have their own church home, to be a part of the group. Besides weekly youth meetings, the UMYF has an annual Winter Ski Retreat and a Summer Beach Retreat. Additionally, the Youth participate in local and national charitable fund raisers.

Easter Sunrise Service and Breakfast :::::::::::::::::::
The Youth are in charge of the church’s annual Easter Sunrise Service, held on Lake West Point each year. They make the arrangements and produce and lead the Worship Service. This service is open to members of the community and is a special outreach to campers at Lake West Point.

Handbells :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The Handbell Choir meets each Wednesday afternoon from 5:15-6:00 o’clock in the Handbell Room on the third floor of the Education Building. Minimum age 7th requirement is t grade. This combined adult, youth choir has five octaves of bells at its disposal. Musical theory and ringing technique are taught, so no experience is necessary.

Foreign Mission Projects ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The Mission Committee works with the Board of Global Ministries in seeking foreign mission projects in which members, including youth, can take part. Central America and the Caribbean have been the focal points for these work/Bible projects.

Mountain T.O.P. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The Youth annually participate in the Mountain T.O.P. experience, an outreach program in Appalachia. The church is in mission with them by helping them to raise the necessary funds to go on the trip.
