Journey with us

"Near the Cross"

Starting Sunday, March 1, we will begin a Lenten sermon series called, “Near the Cross”. Based upon United Methodist Bishop Kenneth Carter’s book with the same title, we will take a closer look at how the journey of prayer leads and keeps us near the cross. Prayer nurtures our faith and encourages our spiritual lives to grow. Each Sunday during Lent (and Easter Sunday) we will explore how a deeper life of prayer can transform our living so we can know and imitate the heart of Christ.

March 1: Partnership, Community, and the Cross

March 8: Prayer and Service

March 15: Prayer and Formation

March 22: Prayer and Sacrifice

March 29: Prayer and Perseverance

April 5: Prayer and Discipleship

April 12: Prayer and Gratitude
