Stewardship Campaign 2021

typorama.PNG

On Sunday, October 18th, we will launch our stewardship campaign for 2021 called, ALL IN. While a stewardship campaign helps the church prepare for the coming year, it can also provide us with a great opportunity to remember how generous God has been to us.

To be a “good steward” of something means you’ll do what’s necessary to ensure the overall wellbeing of whatever it is that’s been entrusted to your care. That “something” might be a person, a place, or a thing. No matter what it is, if you want to see it thrive, you must be ALL IN. During this stewardship series, we’re going to consider our three core values: Invite, Grow, Serve, and ask ourselves, “How is God calling us to be ALL IN as we move forward into a new year and beyond?”

Here’s our schedule:
Sunday, October 18th: All In: Invite (How is God calling us to  be a congregation that INVITES and encourages all people into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ?)
Sunday, October 25th: All In: Grow (What does it mean to intentionally GROW in our faith?)
Sunday, November 1st – Stewardship and All Saints Sunday: All In: Serve (In what ways is God calling us to SERVE each other and our community for the sake of the Gospel?)

Sunday, November 1st will be Stewardship Sunday. ALL IN Cards (aka, pledge cards) will be mailed out or picked up at the church. We ask that you prayerfully consider filling it out in a manner that is appropriate for you or your family. You can either mail it back to the church or bring it with you to church on Stewardship Sunday. On that day we will have the opportunity to share in Holy Communion together and place our commitments for 2021 at the altar asking God’s richest blessings in the coming year.

Our hope is that through our 2021 stewardship campaign you will reconnect to why you make West Point First United Methodist your church home and why others do, too. Everything that happens in the name of our church throughout the year is done for a reason, and not only does it take our generosity to accomplish, it also helps us witness to what God is up to in our midst.
